SINGAPORE

One hour behind you, not twelve

Most fixed-price web work quoted into Singapore is built twelve hours away. This is not. The base is Southeast Asia, one hour behind SGT, so a question asked at ten in the morning is answered at ten in the morning.

What Singapore asks of your site

  1. The PDPA wants a contact your visitors can actually reach

Section 11(5) requires the business contact information of at least one data protection officer to be made publicly available, reachable from Singapore and answered during Singapore business hours. A general company address is enough; silence is not. Financial penalties run to 10% of annual Singapore turnover or S$1 million, whichever is higher. The contact page in both tiers is where this lives.

  2. The PSG is real money, and it is not free money

Enterprise Singapore and IMDA fund up to 50% of a pre-approved solution, capped at S$30,000 per company per financial year. Two conditions decide it: the vendor has to be on the Business Grants Portal list already, and paying before approval is an automatic rejection. We are not a pre-approved vendor. On a S$8,000 approved package your own half is about S$4,000, after a four to six week wait. TIER-01 here is S$2,230 and starts when you say go.

  3. No cookies, no consent surface

This build sets no cookies and loads nothing third-party, so the consent and tracking questions the PDPA asks have almost nothing on your site to attach to. It also removes the banner, its annual licence, and the layout shift it causes on first view.

  4. You own the code

Full IP transfer on final payment, repository included. No proprietary builder and no annual licence — which also means nothing about the build ties you to a vendor list.

What a Singapore site costs, and where this sits
